London, United Kingdom Sep 23, 2026 (Issuewire.com) Peymo today announced the launch of Virtual Accounts, bringing local EUR, GBP and USD payment rails directly into its stablecoin banking ecosystem. Stablecoins are digital currencies designed to hold a steady value by being pegged to a fiat currency such as the US dollar or euro.

Through a simple application within the Peymo app, eligible users can now obtain virtual accounts in their own name supporting EUR via SEPA (the Single Euro Payments Area), GBP via UK Faster Payments, and USD via ACH (the Automated Clearing House network).

The launch adds another component to Peymo’s existing ecosystem, which combines a non-custodial stablecoin wallet meaning Peymo does not hold or control users’ funds reloadable crypto Visa cards compatible with Apple Pay and Google Wallet, and QR-code payments for physical and online merchants.

Together, these services are designed to connect stablecoins with everyday financial activity.

Local accounts without needing to live locally

A key feature of Peymo’s Virtual Accounts is their international accessibility.

Subject to eligibility, compliance requirements and sanctions restrictions, users are not limited by where they live. A user outside Europe can apply for a EUR account supporting SEPA, while eligible users in other parts of the world can similarly access GBP or USD payment infrastructure.

This opens local payment networks to a broader international audience and removes one of the barriers faced by people who need to receive or make payments in another major currency.

Receive money into an account in your own name

Each Peymo Virtual Account is provided in the individual user’s own name.

This means incoming payments are not routed through a generic third-party collection account. A sender can make a conventional local transfer to account details held in the Peymo user’s own name through SEPA for EUR, Faster Payments for GBP or ACH for USD.

Incoming fiat payments are automatically converted into supported stablecoins and settled directly into the user’s USDC or EURC wallet Peymo’s supported dollar- and euro-pegged stablecoins within the user’s Peymo environment.

For the sender, the transaction works like a bank transfer to the recipient’s named account. For the Peymo user, the received value becomes part of a stablecoin ecosystem where it can be held, transferred or spent.

Send stablecoins and pay through traditional banking rails

The same infrastructure also works in reverse.

Users can make bank payments and pay bills directly from their stablecoin balance in the Peymo app. Recipients receive funds through established local and regional payment networks, including SEPA, Faster Payments, ACH and Fedwire (the US wire transfer system).

As with incoming payments, outgoing payments can be made through an account in the Peymo user’s own name.

This creates a genuine two-way Pay In / Pay Out infrastructure:

Incoming: Local bank transfer Account in the users own name USDC / EURC Peymo wallet

Outgoing: Peymo wallet USDC / EURC Account in the users own name Local bank payment

Bringing stablecoins into everyday financial life

Virtual Accounts form another part of Peymo’s work to make stablecoins practical for everyday use.

Within one application, users can now combine personal EUR, GBP and USD virtual accounts, a non-custodial stablecoin wallet, reloadable crypto Visa cards, Apple Pay and Google Wallet compatibility, QR-code merchant payments and international pay-in/pay-out functionality.

Users can receive money through familiar banking networks, hold value in stablecoins, load their Visa card and spend at payment terminals, make QR payments to merchants, or send money back through traditional payment rails.

Stablecoins should not exist in a separate financial universe, said Tomas Bartos, CEO of Peymo. The objective is to make them as practical to use as traditional money. With Virtual Accounts, users can receive local payments into an account in their own name, hold the value in stablecoins, spend through a Visa card or QR payment, and send money back through traditional payment networks. It brings the different parts of the financial ecosystem together in one application.

With Virtual Accounts now live, Peymo continues to expand its stablecoin banking infrastructure, connecting digital assets, traditional payment networks and everyday commerce within a single ecosystem.
